The Open Type Housing Unit is easier to set up & more cost effective than using four single housing units or two tandem sets. Specify the VB45 quad housings with any shaft support rail shown in the catalogue such as WU50, WS50, WU54 or the slimline profile WN00 / WP11 to create a complete sliding system.

The steel shafts can be machined to the customer’s requirement and can be joined to make long lengths. The shafts do not have to be fully supported but can instead be supported at appropriate intervals with consideration being given to permissible deflection.

The standard housing (VB45-2..) contains four fully sealed Open Type Ball Bushings. 
For operating temperatures of more than 80ºC unsealed NB30 ball bushings are available. Ordering reference number VB45-0..  (shaft diameter).

By specifying KB53-...  ball bushings and stainless steel shafts the whole unit can be made corrosion resistant. Ordering reference number VB45-5..  (shaft diameter).
