A typical arrangement showing the axial roller of one of the combined roller bearings rolling over the welded in stub axle of the other combined roller bearing.

Again notice that the depth of the stub axle is calculated to allow it to be welded into the web of it matings steel profile in the very easiest way - i.e. infilling the 45 degree fillet with weld.
